Cabin Fever

Jackson and I have had a wonderful 2 weeks together over my Christmas vacation. With the weather and all the things we have had going on, we have been at home a lot. Both of us were starting to feel a little cabin fever. We decided to brave the freezing rain advisory and head out to the zoo on our last day of break. It turned out perfect! There was no rain and the temperature was almost up to 40, warm for us Ohioans:). I think the weather scared everyone off because when we got there, there was only one other car in the whole lot. It was like having the zoo to ourselves!!!
The arctic animals were very active today, we got to see many of them up close. Jackson also got to touch real polar bear fur.

The polar bear was diving in the water and playing with his ball right in front of the window-Jackson loved it! He is still talking about the "polar bear play with ball".

All of the wolves came out and stood right in front of the window for us. Jackson called them "big doggies".

We even got to see the zookeepers feeding the seals their fish.
After the seals had their lunch, we went and had lunch at the Carnivore Cafe. Jackson decided all he wanted for lunch was ketchup which he ate with a fork. (Jackson is starting to show some two-year-old tendancies!!!)
We had such a good day, it was a wonderful way to end the best Christmas vacation I have ever had. Mommy does NOT want to go back to work tomorrow, I am going to miss spending as much time with my little man.
