Pancakes!

Jackson helped me make pancakes this morning for breakfast. Matt had a case sale at work, so we have LOTS of pancake mix to use!

Jackson poured the mix into the bowl.

Then he added the water.

Jackson did a great job stirring, he did not get any out of the bowl.

My little chef :)

He also wanted to pour his own syrup, that turned out a little sticky. Oh well :)

Finally the best part-eating the pancakes!!!!

Of course then he wanted to make pancakes for lunch and dinner too :)

Funny Face

Aunt Carli has been watching Jackson once a week for us. When I got home from school on Tuesday, Jackson and her were practicing making silly faces.

Lakota's First Birthday Party!!!

Last Saturday Jackson and I went to the lake to help celebrate our cousin Lakota's first birthday. It was a gorgeous day, perfect for an outside party. We had a delicious hobo stew dinner.

Kota is so adorable. She is the happiest baby I have ever seen. I think I have only seen her cry once in the past year.

Jackson enjoying his piece of the Winnie the Pooh cake. Jackson LOVES his cake. It is all he talks about at a party until he gets a piece. I have to watch him very carefully so he does not sneak off and steal some!

Lakota spreading frosting on her Mommy's face.

Kota really enjoyed eating her cake. She dug right in and ate it up!

Jackson of course wanted to help open presents. I am not sure if it really was a help or not, but he had fun!

We had a great time at the party. I can't wait until next year when Lakota is running around the beach with Jackson.

"Back to School"

Jackson got his first big boy bookbag for "back to school" time. He is so excited about his Diego backpack. He calls it his snack bag and carries it around everywhere. He was so excited to take it to Amy's today for the first time and show it to Amy and Colin.

He looks so big wearing a backpack-I cannot believe how fast he is growing. I wish I could slow it down.

Erica's wedding

Matt, Jackson and I attended Trever and Erica's wedding on August 22. We had a fun night of great friends, food, and lots of dancing!!

All of the Start girls (Liss left earlier, so we didn't get her in the picture)
I know this picture is blurry, I was having a hard time getting my camera on the right setting that night. This picture was of the two boys dancing in the middle of the dance floor. They were having so much fun. They ran around the hall all night. Jackson had Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Carli, Uncle Joe, and Gubbi exhausted by the time he headed home with Gubby.

Overall he was very good. I was very nervous anytime he got remotely close to the cake table. I also had to carry him out with my hand over his mouth during the best man's speech. He thought that it would be a perfect time to start singing Old McDonald as loud as he could.

My handsome little man. He was so excited to be wearing a tie. He showed it to everyone all night and loved that Daddy and Uncle Joe and Colin were also wearing ties.

We had a great time. Erica looked gorgeous. Congratulations Erica and Trever!!!!

Tubing for the first time!!

Jackson went tubing for the first time on Saturday. He rode with Mommy behind Keycoo's boat. He did very well, he even wanted to go faster a couple of times.

On Sunday we took a boat ride on Mommy and Daddy's new boat!!! We bought a deck boat (it looks like a pontoon but it goes as fast as a speedboat). We are so excited, we have been wanting a pontoon to go swimmimg off of and this one can also pull tubers and skiers-it is perfect :)

After watching his Keycoo ski, Jackson wanted to wear his lifejacket. He wore this around for a while. He did not understand why he could not wear it on the boat.
